Everything you need to know about how Striide works — for buyers, sellers, agents, and the curious.
Striide is a personality-first matchmaking platform for home buyers, sellers, and real estate agents. Instead of filtering by zip code and sorting by star ratings, we match based on how you communicate, how you make decisions, and what you value in a working relationship.
Think of it as the thoughtful alternative to searching blind — we find you an agent who's genuinely the right fit, not just the nearest one.
Yes — Striide is completely free for home buyers and sellers. There's no cost to create a profile, get matched, or connect with an agent.
Agents join Striide through a separate process. Pricing details for agents will be available as we open markets.
We're building market by market to make sure we have strong agent representation before opening to buyers in each area. Join the waitlist now and you'll be among the first notified — and first matched — when we go live in your market.
Create a free account, then complete your profile — it takes about 5–7 minutes. You'll answer questions about your communication style, working preferences, personality, and what you're looking for in a home. We'll also walk you through a short behavioral assessment (DISC) to help us understand how you naturally operate.
Once your profile is complete, you're on the list. We'll match you when we're live in your area.
We surface your top matches — agents who score 70% or above on our compatibility algorithm. In most markets, you'll see a small set of strong matches rather than a long list of mediocre ones. Quality over quantity is the whole point.
Not at all. Striide introduces you to agents who are a strong fit — what you do from there is entirely up to you. There's no obligation, no contract with Striide, and no pressure. We just want to make the introduction as good as possible.
You can update your profile at any time to refine your preferences. As more agents join your market, new matches may surface too. We're always working to improve match quality — and your feedback helps us get there.
Not at all. A lot of our buyers are still 6–12 months out from actively buying, and that's a great time to get your profile set up. The earlier you're on the list, the earlier you'll be matched when we launch in your market. There's no pressure to move fast.
Striide connects you with buyers who are already a strong personality and working-style match — before you ever meet. That means fewer awkward introductions, less wasted time, and more transactions that actually feel good.
Better-fit clients are easier to work with, more trusting, and more likely to refer. We're not just sending you leads — we're sending you the right ones.
Agent onboarding takes about 8–10 minutes. You'll share details about your experience, the markets you serve, your communication style and availability, and the types of clients you work best with. You'll also complete the same DISC behavioral assessment that buyers take, which is central to the matching algorithm.
We verify your license as part of the process — active licensure is required to be listed on Striide.
We verify that all agents have an active real estate license in their state before they can appear in matches. This is a hard requirement — unlicensed agents cannot be listed on Striide.
Pricing details for agents will be released as we open markets. Early agents who join during our launch phase will receive preferred early-access terms. Reach out to contact@in-striide.com if you'd like to learn more.
Our algorithm scores compatibility across eight weighted factors: communication style (21%), working style (19%), behavioral fit via DISC (15%), personality fit (14%), buyer priorities vs. agent specialty (11%), experience level match (11%), availability and timeline alignment (8%), and shared interests (1%).
Before scoring, three hard filters must pass: language compatibility, market overlap, and verified license status. A score of 70% or higher surfaces as a match. We also apply a "flexibility modifier" that adjusts scores based on how open each person is to variation on any given preference.
DISC is a well-established behavioral assessment framework that identifies four primary behavioral styles: Dominance (D), Influence (I), Steadiness (S), and Conscientiousness (C). It's used across industries to understand how people naturally communicate and make decisions.
In real estate, a buyer's behavioral style has a significant impact on what they need from an agent. A detail-oriented, research-driven buyer (C type) thrives with a thorough, data-forward agent — but may clash with an agent who's fast-moving and light on data. We use DISC compatibility scores to improve match quality in a way that personality tags alone can't.
Yes. Your profile is fully editable from your profile page. If your preferences change, your timeline shifts, or you just want to refine your answers, you can update any section and save. Match scores are recalculated based on your current profile.
Those platforms sort agents by geography, ad spend, and review count. That tells you where an agent works and how their past clients felt — but nothing about whether you'll work well together.
Striide starts with the relationship. We match on communication style, decision-making approach, personality fit, and working style — then verify experience and market coverage. A great match on Striide is someone you'd enjoy working with, not just someone who's available.
Your profile details are only shared with agents you are matched with. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes. Your email address and contact information are never visible until you choose to connect with a match.
Yes. You can request account deletion at any time by emailing contact@in-striide.com. We'll remove your data within 30 days of your request. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) as our database provider, which operates on secure cloud infrastructure. Passwords are never stored in plain text. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
